So this is kind of a weird one. A few weeks ago, myself (Eric), Claire, and Dwight hosted a kickoff conference for 2016's City of Chicago LakeFX Summit. This is a really fantastic (FREE) gathering of creatives and entrepreneurs from the Midwest that honestly feels pretty essential if you're trying to make art in this wonderful city. So what you're going to get here are three songs we recorded (Rolling in the Deep, Blister in the Sun, Dancing in the Dark) plus a couple folks from the City's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events previewing what you can expect at the summit. A lot of this is informational, not entertainment, so if you're not super keyed in to Chicago's creative scene, you can maybe give the non-music here a pass. But if you ARE a creative, you should definitely hear what Michelle Boone, Barbara Koenen, and Frayne Lewis have to say! And check us out at the Summit this Saturday, 10 AM on the podcast stage!
We also have a show tomorrow night at the Harold Washington Library; we're teaming up with the Chicago Public Library Maker Lab!
We also also have a show Sunday night; we're celebrating Dwight's birthday at the Some Office Theater!
We also also also are in the second of four weeks of our musical run, Attend the Tale of Danny Tanner, every Saturday in May at the Playground Theater!
I need a nap.
Thanks so much to our sponsors this week, Cards Against Humanity, as well as their wonderful Chicago Podcast Coop.
