Blank Cassette is back from hiatus for a very special set of episodes celebrating the intersection of sequential and musical art. It's Comics Month, babies! We're kicking things off with the writer of a handful of my favorite comics of all time, Mr. Kieron Gillen, who, among other things, is currently hard at work on an amazing series called The Wicked + The Divine. WicDiv volume 5 hits local comic shops today, so this seemed like a great chance to talk to Kieron about the WicDiv playlist, a curated mass of music that runs concurrent with the popular comics series. Music has been an integral part of Kieron's comics career since the beginning; this week, we'll talk about what that means, and he shares some favorite tracks that inspired the current volume of the series (which, again, is excellent).
If you want to hear the rest of the interview we did with Kieron, you can find it on our Patreon page! There's a lot more comics talk on Patreon, plus we get into Bojack Horseman. For real.
For full songs (where available), check out our Spotify playlist for the episode. And of course, the original WicDiv playlist is running hot!
