It's that time of year again -- every November, we ask our listeners about their favorite stories and songs from the past 12 months of the Your Stories podcast. This helps us put together our end-of-the-year "Best Of" episodes; it also lets us know who to invite to our yearly "Annual" live recording in December. 

But really, what's more important than *what* stories you like are *why* those stories stuck with you. This isn't a traditional voting thing; we're more interested in why you found certain pieces really compelling. If you share your reasons for nominating those pieces with us, and we think they're really interesting, we might ask you to talk a little about them on our show! So please, feel free to say nice things about the people and stories you nominate. Our storytellers really appreciate it.

One note: because this isn't traditional voting, campaigning doesn't really help. If you want to share this with your friends who've come to the show or listen online, please do! We absolutely want to hear from them. If you ask a bunch of people who've never engaged with the show to write in on your behalf, well, it's sweet that you have people who want to do that, but it's not really in the spirit of what we're about.
